Match Day Logistics at Holly Park
This is a guide for managers and parents on match days in Holly Parks. Please follow these procedures for a trouble free, safe and enjoyable match day - and remember we play in a residential area so please respect our neighbours.
Pitch Marking
This will work as follows during the course of the season:
(1) Every manager from the U8s, U9s and U10s will be assigned a slot to mark both pitches in Holly Park during the course of the season
(2) First team managers on do not mark the pitch unless they are last team in the rota left to mark it. Team on in the middle time slot is the default marker
(3) A rota is maintained by the Holly Park co-ordinator throughout the course of the season for fairness and transparency
(4) Managers are are unlikely to be asked to mark pitches more than twice during the course of a season.
(5) Pitches need to be marked and finished by 9.45 before first games start. You should allow 1 - 1.5 hours especially if you have not done it before.
(6)Pitch markers are assigned late Wednesday/Early Thursday for the coming weekend and details posted on the club website - http://www.granadafc.com/subpage.php?pageid=7
(7) Managers who have not marked a pitch before are advised to check the rota and check out with the assigned markers before their turn comes up
Cones and Signs
At the beginning of 2009 we introduced parking restrictions in the cull de sac at the entrance of the pitches at Holly Park, we need to do this for the following reasons:
(1) Ambulance access in the event of an emergency, DubLaoghaire Rathdown County Council and the Garda are insisting on this.
(2) Provide access to the nearest house, there have been occasions when the owner cannot get his car in and out, this is unacceptable, we need to have good relations with our neighbours.
(3) With the planned building of the Club House due to commence this Spring!, we need to keep the council and the neighbours in Holly Park with us.
This is the procedure for Cones and Signs each match day:
(1) The first manager or his/her nominated parent(s) will put the cones across the entrance, in addition there is a free standing sign" Ambulance Access Required" this should be placed in the middle of the cones.
(2) In addition a sign " please clean your boots before leaving the Park" should be placed on the Tar Mac
(3) The last manager on the pitch will take the cones and signs down and place in the Container before locking up.
Goals, Nets and Corner Flags
First teams on wheel out a wheelie bin which contains nets, corner flags and spikes for a single pitch - wheel all of these in the whellie bin to the pitch and setup before game
Last teams on are to take down nets, corner flags and spikes and place in wheelie bin. The wheelie bin should then be wheeled over and put in the container before locking up
Details of first and last teams on each pitch in Holly Park can be found on http://www.granadafc.com/news_detail.php?nid=4 - posted by Thursday night at very latest
