Information Update Saturday 4th September 2010 @ 16:00
We are still finalising our squad for the u15B team for the 2010-11 season. Due to the number of Granada players playing at this age group, we may not be able to accomodate players who played with other clubs last season. If there is sufficient numbers we may setup an u16B team consisting of players at u15 and u16 age group.
IMPORTANT NOTICE: IF YOU ARE NOT AVAILABLE TO PLAY IN A MATCH, CAN YOU PLEASE TEXT AND LET US KNOW IN ADVANCE THAT YOU ARE NOT AVAILABLE! THANK YOU
We will be playing in the U15 Division 1 League which will commence on the 5th of September. To see other teams in our league - see http://www.sdflsoccer.com/tables.htm
- Monday Training: It is likely that training will take place each Monday evening in Carysfort National School throughout the Autumn and the Winter. This has yet to be confirmed and will be dependent on availability, etc. For this Monday, 6th of September, we are probably going to have a coaching session on grass in Holly Park at 6.30pm. This is also TBC. You will receive a text with details.
- This Saturday 04/09/10: Unfortunately the weather this morning was not good and we had to cancel our planned training session at 12.15pm.
- This Sunday 05/09/10: Our first match of the season is Vs Ardmore Rovers KO 12.45 at Ballywaltrim. As this is the first game, we need to meet there at 12 NOON for warm-up, etc. To get to the Adrmore Rovers pitch at Ballywaltrim, take N11 (Bray By-Pass) and take last exit to Bray/Greystones. Full details including maps on how to get to the pitch can be found at - www.soccer-ireland.com/wicklow-football-clubs/ardmore-rovers.htm
HELP WANTED: Over the course of the year, the club are looking to run a number of fund raising events. We are looking for a "Social Secretary" from each team to co-ordinate involvement and participation in these events across the board. Volunteers - please text Martin on number above (not all at once!). Thanks.
